It occurs to me that I neglected to include advice on what to do if you get a request from a left-handed person. If you yourself are left-handed, brava. My solution was to ask a friend who can knit left-handed to come in to help. I did contemplate learning to do it myself but concluded it would take too long for me to achieve proficiency; hence, the assistance from my friend.

Good idea, I can’t imagine teaching a lefty!

I’ve been asked several times to “teach” both adults and children to knit… I appreciate all who shared their insight and expertise. I’m rethinking the proposal to share the joy of knitting!
