I love but avoid crescent shawls because of the garter bump hump! There was an article in 2020 about the garter tab and in the comments there was a request for help in avoiding the crescent shawl hump. An upcoming article was referenced but I cannot find it. Any advice?

I found this garter tab video very helpful.
I do mine like the video shows with one modification. When I turn the piece, I do a yarn over BEFORE I pick up the stitches along the side, and another yarn over before I pick up the cast on stitches. The when you knit back, DROP those two yarnovers. This loosens up the corners of your tab and makes it lie much flatter. I find it pretty much eliminates those unsightly humps.
