Thank you!
SO gorgeous – I finally just started mine and wow, you’re really making me want to do that fruit bowl section!
the fruit bowl wasn’t as hard as it looks. It is so worth it! Good luck!
Okay, I finished the KAFF pillow, coins on one side and stripes on the other. I have a TON of yarn left over, so will probably make more of these (or something…). Planning to get more ambitious with the patterns, and maybe try stranded knitting on the outside if I work something in the round.
I did a provisional cast-on for the beginning, and when I was done I finished that side (the top hitched to the bottom of the square) with a 3-needle bindoff. Then I did an attached i-cord to ONE part of the next side (one side, but not attaching it to the other side) and hand-stitched a zipper onto that side. Then I did an attached i-cord to the next two sides. No close-ups, but here are two photos. And BTW, it turned out that a 14" pillow did fit into this.
In the better late than never category, here are my Kaffe-inspired hat and gaiter for cold-weather dog walking here in Minnesota.
Pretty! Wonderful colors
I need some help! I made 1 pillow cover using the Kaffe patterns and knitting in the round. I added 3 purl stitches at the sides so I could make I-cord around the pillow. All that worked fine on the first pillow so I made a second one and I’m ready to do the i-cord on it at the purl sections.
There was a pandemic and I have totally forgotten how I got that I cord on the edges of the pillow. I thought someone had written about doing that but I can’t find a post. …help…
When I do applied i-cord, I pick up stitches evenly around the perimeter, then cast on 3 stitches.
- Knit 2, SSK (using a picked up stitch, therefore attaching the i-cord)
Slip the 3 stitches purlwise back to the left hand needle and repeat from the -
