Gnome for the Holidays Virtual Class

I was watching Sarah’s YouTube, and her Santa Gnoah flashed by! I decided to wing it, and I’m very happy with how he turned out!

Thanks! I just switch out the yarn, do the bobble, and then resume with the main color. You can tie the two ends from the nose to the working yarn. You do get a contrasting purl bump below the nose, so I use the tail from the cast off to duplicate stitch over it. Sarah made a tutorial too.

I’m so proud of my Santa! He has a belt, a black base and a bigger beard. I tried to make a real pom pom for the hat, but that was a fail. In the end I just used white yarn and winged a knob at the top!

I’m doing Sarah’s gnome-along for December and have another Gnoah on the needles - I’ve already given away 6! Maybe in January I will take a break …

Have you made it? I’d love to see a picture! (It’s the icon in the lower right corner next to the computer.)

I’m still amazed at how tying knots can get rid of the jog! I love stripes - I may have to go for that next!
