Transom back panel question

I’m a little late to the transom party, but excited to get going-- I just learned how to do cables by knitting my swatch!

I’m wondering, on the back panel-- are the edge stitches (separated by the markers) supposed to be knit on every row?

(Also, I’m getting confused on how to start a post here, so I apologize if this ends up in some odd spot! I couldn’t figure out how to post it in the transom refresh-along.)

You mean the stitches at the beginning and the end of the set up to, correct? Knit the right side purl the wrong side. At least, that’s what I’ve done.
