I’ve made 2 Marlogram cowls and am addicted. I’m ready to start the scarf version, but I have to admit I’m not a pointy-ends person. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the same stitch pattern in a square end style. So far, no luck. Has anyone worked this out?

I have not tried working that out, but I am thinking that starting the sequence 1 stitch into the pattern each row should work: Row 1 starts with K3. Start Row 2 with K2 and follow the pattern to the end of the row, adding a K1 on the end to maintain number of stitches. Row 3 would start with K1, etc., etc. Similarly, adding 1 stitch to the cast on, you could end Row 1 with a K1 and start Row 2 with K2. I’m thinking if you laid your cowls out and looked at the sequence of stitches as they “stack” in the rows you would be able to tell if starting the sequence 1 stitch into the pattern is appropriate or if you would need to be further into the sequence. Good luck!
