'm working on my first pieced sweater and am having trouble wrapping my head around how to seam the set in sleeves. I’m working on the Bare Branches coat by Alana Dakos and it says to use the mattress stitch to set in the sleeves but the tricky part is that the sleeves are in stockinette stitch and the bodice and shoulders are in garter stitch. I’ve looked at tutorials online and all of them are for joining stockinette to stockinette. Has made this pattern or seamed garter and stockinette using the mattress stitch? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
