Hi
Thank you for your email. The designer of Henry is Alan Dart. It was in a Simply Knitting issue some time ago. He gave me permission to pass the
pattern out to my students. Due to copyright, I would have to ask his permission again if I am able to share the pattern in MDK’s The Lounge.

Hi again
Since Alan Dart has the pattern for sale on his website, I am giving you the URL:
www.alandart.co.uk/product/holidays/ Click on Holidays and look for Jultomtar & Teeny Tomte.
Also look for his Jack O’Lantern, it’s really cute too.
Best,
Lucinda
I know Alan Dart! Well, not know know, but know of him. Thank you so much!
Well, I decided to use the gold yarn, white, leftovers of red and blue. Since my cat loves the smell of wool, I might make her a toy with the last of the yarn.
Thanks #arnecarlos #arneandcarlos #moderndailyknitting for this knit along
I finished my (one) hat! I love it. Modified the crown and the brim, knit on 4s and 5s, and it fits great!
Here’s my hat, using US #2.5 (3.0 mm) and #5 needles. Gauge came out a little tight, but I’ll see how it blocks out before I decide which needles for hat #2. I love the pattern, and I only switched up a few things… substituting a cc (gold) in the middle row of the blue and pink section (row 14), deleting row 33 (which repeats row 32), and using gold again in the last colorwork row. Then I duplicate stitched the pink at the center of the blue crosses in row 32. The single pink stitches don’t show up very well, but it was my first time adding a color that way so I’m glad I gave it a try.
I’ve started a 2nd one with blue ribbing, but I’m waiting for my hat to dry and check the final size before starting the color work.

I finished my hat! No changes to the pattern and it fits snug but comfortably. I still need to block it (or steam it) but I’m really happy with it. Now I want to knit a couple more for my son and hubs!
Love the colors, cathiesak
Happy to help.

Thank you!
I knit a hat too… just not quite the Setesdal…! I really liked the Rosy Mittens pattern, so used the medium size chart and repeated just the top side of the glove four times. It makes for a very tall (LOL!) and warm hat. Considering a tassel to pull the top of the hat down a bit. Knit with two of the Norwegian Wool colors - Red Velvet and Wind Chime. Duplicate stitched the other colors because the floats would’ve been much too long if they were knit in - Mountain, Frost Pink and Gold Nugget.
It was fun to sit and knit along for a bit with you!
This is beautiful!
I love this! What a great mash-up.
Wow! You are so clever!
Thank you!
In the best MDK kind of way, thank you!
