I am absolutely ignoring the advice on the first sweater blog and have a fingering wt yarn held together with a sports yarn to sub for a bulky yarn.
I bought a pattern that was for a fingering weight sweater. My 12 yo hated the pattern but at VKL she found a gorgeous yarn and said she wanted a sweater in that yarn. My patterns gauge called for 15stitches over 20 rows. My gauge is 19 stitches over 29 rows with a 7US needle (more similar to the gauge for the original pattern that called for fingering).
The design is the mae by dreareneeknits its supposed to be baggy but I’m scared I’m gonna run out of yarn.
