Lace stitch practice makes good dishcloths, but not very square!

I like holes to let them dry faster & give scrubbing texture. Horizontal & diagonal ones here.

Thank you! It’s called for petal washcloth! There’s various kinds of petal washcloths! Post yours if you one please!!

Improved Grandma’s fave washcloth with a perfect edge! Easy selvage edge - slip 1st stitch of every row knit wise, continue in pattern til last stitch - purl last stitch. Turn and repeat pattern until done.
This a really great way to use two colors and hide the yarn Carry up the edge.

I started using the perfect edging - slip 1st stitch knit wise on all rows, continue in pattern until you get to the last stitch, purl the last stitch on every row. Turn work repeat same pattern. It’s nothing miraculous or new but I don’t know why I didn’t do this a long time ago.

It’s a kitchen item so I say Go For It!! But I’m not in charge here, lol

My dear friend of many decades is moving 2 states away, following her daughter. She is not one to wear hats and was recently admiring an “Almost Lost” dishcloth I put in the bottom of a container to absorb condensation from a warm pie. So she is getting a bunch of washcloths I turned out this past week.
